When the opportunity arose for Aquatiq to host a Moananui Partner Forum, the timing was perfect. With Simon Fraser, Aquatiq’s Managing Director for the Australia and New Zealand region, in town, the forum provided a unique opportunity to share global updates and innovations with an engaged audience.

Another key motivator was the chance to introduce Aquatiq’s innovative solutions, such as their online food safety tool, Analytiq. Already utilised by a fellow cluster member, Analytiq demonstrates how technology can effectively enhance food safety standards across the industry.

Global Insights and Future Collaborations

During the forum, Simon shared updates on Aquatiq’s global projects in the blue economy, highlighting work across regions such as Norway, Australia, and the United Kingdom. The event was a valuable experience for Aquatiq, generating several positive outcomes and facilitating meaningful knowledge-sharing among partners, whilst allowing Aquatiq's Nelson-based Country Lead, Marion McNeilly, to deepen her connections within the cluster community. Simon and Marion engaged in direct conversations with other partners about potential collaborations, which have continued beyond the forum, setting the stage for future joint initiatives.
